Agar Wood

This attar contains agarwood (Oud) from Cambodia. Oud is produced when a parasite mold infects the agarwood tree. The heartwood in typical development is thin, pale, and hardly fragrant. The tree only produces a dark, fragrant resin as a protective measure to live once the mold has advanced into the heartwood. As a result, the tree becomes embedded with very black, dense oud resin, which takes several hundred years to reach its native environment.
